Longview High School’s parking lot will be sporting some fancy looking parking spaces at the start of the school year.
The Viewettes, the high school’s drill team, are selling parking spaces and allowing owners to decorate their space to help raise money for a trip to Chicago to march in the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in November.
The trip comes as part of a special year for the line, which is celebrating 50 years of high kicks and cheering on the Lobos.
“It’s such an honor to be a part of the 50th anniversary Viewette line,” senior Viewette Capt. Carmen Webb said Wednesday. “It’s so great to see all of the alumni come together to celebrate and see the traditions that continue throughout the years.”
Webb and 46 other Viewettes are planning the November trip to Chicago as part of the year’s anniversary festivities.
